According to the tabloids, Manchester United is very interested in signing Mario Balotelli from Inter Milan, but the young Italian is not the type of player that Sir Alex Ferguson needs or follows.
Balotelli, 19, is a powerful winger with a tremendous upside to his career, but his mental state is something that should worry Sir Alex. The talented youngster he seems like the typical modern-day player - very selfish.
After the Inter's shock win over Barcelona, Balotelli reacted poorly to the fans jeering him, and he showed real immaturity by responding with foul words and childish gestures as he threw his shirt on the to the San Siro fans.
Following that outburst and other little rants, Balotelli has been labelled as part of the Enfants Terribles, which is a group of players whose unconventional behavior, work, or thought embarrasses or disturbs others.
Another thing that might deter United from placing a formal bid for him is that he will not come cheap - especially with Sir Alex's nemesis and former Liverpool boss, Rafael Benitez, now in charge at the Serie A club.
It is well documented that Benitez has a disliking - or jealousy - for Ferguson following his own outburst in January 2009, which has been dubbed - Rafa's Rant, so the Spaniard will not be doing any favors for him.
For Inter boss, Roberto Mancini, who is now at Manchester City, is also hot on Balotelli's tail, and the money they have at their disposal he will go for more than double than what he would have if they weren't involved.
Without question Benetiz would rather sell on of his prized-assets to City than Manchester United, so it will be interesting to see whether or not Sir Alex Ferguson enters the bidding war for Mario Balotelli.
