Our very own Red Views' author, David Hammons, speaks about United coming to America.
In just a matter of days, Manchester United will be touching down in North America to begin their pre-season tour and me and my fellow Americans are relishing the chance to see our Old Trafford heroes in action.
It has been six years since Sir Alex's men ventured across the Atlantic and for us American Reds it feels like a visit which is long overdue.
Fans, like myself, will be following the team for the duration of their stay in America, taking in the games in Philadelphia, Kansas City and Houston. In all I will be travelling nearly 6,000 miles to make sure I do not miss a kick of the action as the Reds prepare for the upcoming season.
Being the Red Views editor for One United USA, the official membership and supporters club in the States, I will be helping man the booths that we'll have in each of the three cities I'll be watching the team to help grow awareness of the world's most popular club.
Soccer is gradaully becoming more and more popular over here and with the World Cup about to wrap up, the American fans will need something else to keep their interest going - and United will be just the tonic for them!
The influence of having a club like United in town can only help establish soccer as one of the major sports in this country. And hopefully when the club sees the great support they have out here, it won't be too long before their next visit.
