Manchester United's Tour 2010 continues when they square off against the Kansas City Wizards at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.
United have left the East Coast and have traveled to the Midwest where they are preparing for their third match of their tour of North America.
In their last match, United narrowly defeated a very resilient, underrated Philadelphia Union 1-0. Gabriel Obertan's neat finish 15 minutes from time gave United their second straight victory on their preseason tour.
About
The Wizards normally play their home matches at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, but the match will be played at the newly-renovated 79,451-seat stadium.
Former United States international star, Peter Vermes, is the current manager of the Wizards, but he has a tough start to his managerial career. Vermes was appointed as the permanent manager in 2009.
During his days as a player, Vermes led the Wizards to the MLS Cup in 2000 and claimed Defender of the Year honors for his efforts during that historic season.
That triumphant is still the only time that the Wizards have won the league championship, but in 2004 they captured the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, which is similar to FA Cup.
Kansas City is currently 5th place in Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference and 12th overall, but the position comes down to one thing - not scoring enough goals.
In 16 matches this season, Kansas City has only managed to score 13 goals, which is the second worst total in the entire league.
Who
Davy Arnaud, the Wizards longest-serving player, is currently the club's captain. Arnaud has made 208 appearances for the club while scoring 38 times.
Playing along side Arnaud, Kei Kamara is the most lethal scoring threat on the Wizards roster. The Sierra Leone international leads Kansas City with six goals this season.
Jimmy Conrad, who is an accomplished U.S. international player, anchors the Wizards' defense. The commanding center-back is one of the most dominant defenders in Major League Soccer.
Former Arsenal youngster and England U-20 player, Ryan Smith leads the Wizards with six assists.
Manchester United should win this match against the Kansas City Wizards quite comfortably, but as they found out against the Philadelphia Union, it will be hotly-contested match.
The match can be seen live on Fox Soccer Channel at 7.30pm EST.
