I'm not sure when, where or why it started, but each new Manchester United kit seems to bring on a large amount of controversy.
A quick search around United football blogs all over the web will show you that most people seem to have something - usually negative - to say about the new kit.
To be fair, most professional teams have these type of rants from supporters, and before we get into this too far, we need to get one argument out of the way right from the off - yes, new kits are a cash grab! Every sports team does it, so please let's stop banging that drum.
I, for one, really like the new kit and have a closet full of pretty much every United kit - home and away.
Despite all the negative talk on the web, the first home match at Old Trafford - as well as packed pubs around the world - will be filled with supporters donning this new kit.
Is the design really that important? No, its not. All that really matters is that the home shirt is red, and, of course, bares the crest of my beloved United!
All of the new Manchester United kits will always find a place in my heart and closet as well as the hearts and closets of reds around the world!
